TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – On Wednesday morning Capital Crane, LLC was tasked with lifting 10 large air-conditioning units from street level to the top of a seven-story building in downtown Topeka. Starting around 5 a.m. Wednesday, crews had the Street blocked to traffic to prepare for the crane.
Capital Cranes’s Grove GMK5275 was on site around 8 a.m. and ready to work while the air-conditioning units arrived around 9 a.m. The powerful Grove All Terrain Crane began hoisting the air-conditioning units to the top of the seven-story building.
Workers at the scene told 13 NEWS they expected the project would take several hours and was the job was completed on time.
