As of 2022, the 110-ton USt (100-ton metric) Tadano ATF 100G-4 All Terrain Crane will continue being built for the European market and built to order for other markets.
The model has been replaced by upgraded Tadano AC 4.110-1 and the Tadano AC 4.100L-1 (previously the Demag AC 100-4L).
The four-axle ATF 100G-4 has a 168' (51.2 meter) high tensile steel six-section main boom with one stationary section and five telescoping sections extended by a single telescoping cylinder. A 32.8' - 59.1' (10 to 18-meter) bi-fold swingaway extension is available offering a maximum tip height of 238' (72.5 meters) and a maximum radius of 184' (58 meters)
This model can also travel with up 16, 755 lbs. (7.6 metric ton)of counterweight without the extension or 13, 228 lbs. (6 metric ton) with the swing away on board within 12-ton axle weights.
The maximum counterweight is 49, 604 lbs. (22. metric ton) with 12 different configurations.
The outriggers can be set up asymmetrically, allowing the crane to set each outrigger to fit the available space with automatic length detection, and an overload system sensing the setup.
Controls on both sides of the crane allow for the outriggers to be extended to the exact length required for the job calculating the best possible load chart for the actual configuration.
The lower carrier engine is powered by a Mercedes-Benz 6-cylinder OM 470 LA Tier IV compliant diesel engine operating at 435 HP (320 kW) and the crane superstructure is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 934 LA, also Tier IV compliant diesel engine operating at 175 HP (129 kW) coupled with a ZF-AS-Tronic 12 AS 2513 mechanical transmission. The transmission includes an integrated intarder, electro-pneumatically operated dry-type clutch, and an automatic gear shifter with 12 forward and 2 backward speeds.
The suspension system is hydro-pneumatic with self-leveling. The brake system consists of service disc brakes, a parking brake, and auxiliary brakes. The redundant braking system ensures this model will be able to stop, regardless of if one brake fails.
The carrier frame is torsion-resistant and made from high-strength fine-grained steel. The superstructure frame is connected to the carrier by a single-row ball-bearing slewing ring.
