The powerful Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 All Terrain Mobile Crane delivered to Magis Group Srl is now the flagship of Magis fleet and is set to replace the LTM 1500-8.1. The LTM 1750-9.1 is slated for new construction, chemical and petrochemical plants, steelworks, lifting prefabricated components, as well as erection and maintenance of wind farms. This model crane strengthens the fleet for Magis, a crane hire, and heavy haulage contractor based in Taranto, Italy.

“We believe that a crane of this type and capacity will enable us to complete hoisting work which has previously been beyond us, for example for the erection of wind turbines”, continues Andrea Caroppi.
Before purchasing the LTM 1750-9.1, Magis looked closely at the alternatives from other crane manufacturers. Magis is updating its fleet in stages and wants new cranes that feature the latest developments in safety and exceed current reliability and competitiveness standards.

“At the end of all our deliberations, we decided on a Liebherr telescopic mobile crane, which delivers a high level of mobility as well as short set-up times whilst also being powerful in its various configurations”, adds Andrea Caroppi. Another criterion in deciding on the LTM 1750-9.1 was its great flexibility for operating in all sectors.

The 9-axle spacing enables the LTM 1750-9.1 AT crane to provide great mobility and carry the telescopic boom when driving on public roads, decreasing setup and transport costs. The 800 metric / 900 Ust maximum rated lifting capacity upgrade, available since 2020 coupled with the variable boom system enables this powerful crane to handle a wide range of lifting jobs. The Y-telescopic boom guying achieves enormous lifting capacities throughout the load chart range and is designed to ensure particularly short set-up times. The extensive comfort and safety equipment, such as load charts for various wind speeds, round off the concept for the increased lifting capacity LTM 1750-9.1.
