Idaho – The tower crane that’s loomed over downtown Ketchum for the past year is coming down.
Crews from Boise based Inland Crane, Inc. brought in two mobile hydraulic cranes to dismantle and remove the tower crane.
The tower crane can come down because crews have finished moving bulk materials off the upper levels, and taking finished materials up to install them.
290 workers are at the hotel site daily to finish the project. Boise-based McIlvain Construction is the general contractor.
The Limelight Hotel is being built by the Aspen Skiing Co., which hosted a job fair last week for numerous positions that will operate the hotel once it’s finished. The company is planning to hire 55 workers to staff the hotel.
