Zeppelin Specifications
Zeppelin's portfolio includes over 200 different types of machines from market leader Caterpillar. It provides customers with powerful earthmoving, excavation, demolition, recycling, and road construction equipment, in addition to offering gardening and landscaping, agricultural, and industrial machinery. Special equipment for surface and underground mining rounds off the product range.
Zeppelin was a german manufacturer of heavy duty cranes and excavators. It was founded in 1908 as a manufacturer of the well-known Zeppeling aircrafts. Zeppelin becomes in 1954 the dealership for Caterpillar products in Germany. To complete the product programm with products that Caterpillar wasn't building, Zeppelin developed mobile excavators on tire- and crawler undercarriage and heavy duty cranes. Because Zeppelin doesn't have a production facility, most of the products are build by Sennebogen in Straubing (DE). Between 1991 and 2005 are around 20, 000 machines built for Zeppelin by Sennebogen.
