Pecco Specifications
Manufactured by Peiner in Germany, American Pecco Corporation Selwing Hammerhead Tower Cranes arrived in the USA in the late 1950s. In the mid-’70s to early ’80s, Pecco was the US subsidiary of Germany’s Peiner and took a large share of the tower crane market in the USA.
During the construction recession of the early 1980s, Pecco declared bankruptcy, and the existing fleet was taken over by Morrow. Morrow became Liebherr’s exclusive distributor of Tower Cranes in North America and has since come to dominate the United States, Canadian, and Mexican Tower Crane rental market with a huge fleet of Hammerhead, Luffing Boom, Flat Top, and Fast Erecting primary consisting of Liebherr cranes.
In 1998, Terex acquired Peiner. Previously produced Pecco Tower Cranes by Peiner are now supported by Terex Tower Cranes.
