The 99.5-ton USt (90 metric ton) lifting capacity 5-axle Liebherr LTM 1090 all-terrain crane has a telescoping main boom length of 39' - 148' (11.9 - 45 m), with a 2-piece folding jib of 37' - 66' (11.3 - 20 m) for a maximum tip height of 217' (65 m).

This crane features a Daimler-Benz-powered two-engine design with a performance-matched superstructure Daimler-Benz crane engine to ensure economic crane operation. It has a maximum speed of 50 mph and has an 8x8x8 drive configuration. 

While no longer in production, this model is the genesis of the LTM 1090 Series and the only model featuring a 5-axle carrier and Daimler-Benz power. 

Subsequent models in the LTM 1090 Series feature 4-axle carriers, Liebherr-designed engines, and increased ballast counterweight for improved lifting capacity throughout the range of the load.
