(Cranes, Hoists & Material Handlers : Tower Cranes)

Terex CBR 26 PLUS Specifications

Terex Self-Erecting Tower Cranes, manufactured in Italy, are designed for rapid deployment and efficiency in small- to medium-sized residential and infrastructure projects. These cranes are highly valued for their quick setup—often requiring only one technician and no auxiliary crane—and their compact footprints that allow operation in tight urban spaces. The current lineup consists of nine models across two main series, the CSE (electronic control) and the CBR (electro-mechanical control), with lifting capacities ranging from approximately 1.8 to 4.9 tons.

Terex organizes its self-erectors into these primary categories:

  • CSE Series (Electronic Control): These modern models feature fully electronic controls and advanced features such as Easy Setup and Terex Power Plus (TPP), which can boost lifting capacity by approximately 10% when needed.
    • Terex CSE 40 - Features a 131.2 ft (40 m) max jib length and 9, 700 lb (4.4 t) max capacity.

    • Terex CSE 32 - Offers a 105 ft (32 m) max jib length with a 9, 700 lb (4.4 t) max capacity.

  • CBR Series (Electro-Mechanical Control): Known for robustness and reliability, these systems use traditional electromechanical components.
    • Terex CBR 40H - A popular model with a 131.2 ft (40 m) jib and 8, 818 lb (4 t) max capacity.

    • Terex CBR 32 PLUS - Provides 8, 818 lb (4 t) capacity with a 104 ft (32 m) jib.

    • Terex CBR 28 PLUS - A smaller unit with a 91.9 ft (28 m) jib and 5, 511 lb (2.5 t) capacity.

    • Terex CBR 21H - The entry-level model with a 68.9 ft (21 m) jib and 3, 527 lb (1.6 t) capacity.

Key Features & Technology

  • Rapid Hydraulic Erection: Most models, including the Terex Eazy 90 use fully hydraulic systems for automated unfolding, significantly reducing on-site labor costs.
  • Electric Operation: These cranes are "naturally electric, " producing zero local emissions and minimal noise, making them ideal for work in sound-sensitive residential neighborhoods.
  • T-Link Telematics: A cloud-based platform that allows fleet managers to monitor crane performance, location, and operating data remotely.
  • Versatile Configurations: Jibs can often be worked in horizontal, luffed, or foldable positions to clear nearby obstacles or buildings.
