The American 5299 is a 50-ton USt capacity crawler crane with 33, 600 pounds of counterweight. The maximum boom is 150 ft. of 46S type lattice tubular boom and an optional 40 ft of jib is available.
The base weight of the machine with a 40 ft. boom is 104, 200 lbs. This crane is popular with steel erectors and especially bridge contractors.
This crane is no longer in production and the American product line of crawler cranes was acquired by Terex.
