The four-axle Grove TMS300 is a hydraulic telescopic boom truck crane known for excellent mobility and lifting performance. Although no longer in production, various models within the series (e.g., TMS300, TMS300LP, TMS300B) were produced 

• Highly mobile: Grove designed the TMS series for easy road travel and quick setup, with highway speeds up to 53 mph. A standard front outrigger allows for full 360-degree operation.
• Strong boom: The crane uses a multi-section trapezoidal telescopic boom, a patented Grove design that provides a superior strength-to-weight ratio. The TMS300LP model, for instance, has a 140-foot tip height with a swing-away lattice extension.
• Hydraulic system: A robust hydraulic system allows for the simultaneous operation of multiple crane functions, with a pressure limit of 2, 550 PSI.
• Outriggers: Double box-beam hydraulic outriggers with vertical cylinders provide stability and allow for lifting and leveling at a full span of 18 feet.
• Cab design: Both the crane's upper cab and the carrier's cab are fully instrumented. The upper cab provides full controls for crane operation, while the carrier cab includes gauges for engine and road functions.
• Counterweight: The crane typically includes a turntable-mounted counterweight, with additional counterweight available for optional equipment. 

Model variations

Grove produced several versions of the TMS300, with minor differences in lift capacity and boom configuration:

• TMS300: A version with a 35-ton capacity and a three-section boom that reaches a maximum tip height of 112 feet without a jib.
• TMS300LP: A model with a 35-ton (30 metric ton) capacity that features a longer, five-section boom with a maximum tip height of 140 feet with extensions.
• TMS300B: A later model with an increased 40-ton (37.5 metric ton) capacity and a maximum on-board tip height of 164 feet.
