Currently, Potain offers the Igo, the Igo M, the Igo T and Hup range of self-erecting tower cranes.  Simple, rapid and entirely autonomous, these self-erecting tower cranes (GMA cranes) are suited for smaller construction sites that require frequent operations of transport, setting up, erection and dismantling.

The Igo range of cranes are electrically powered, bottom-slewing models that can use either jobsite power or power from a portable generator. The cranes are designed to self-erect by employing a system that includes a mast-mounted hydraulic cylinder (activated via an electrically powered hydraulic pump), jib cylinders and a mast and jib pendants. The machines can install their own counterweights (via an integral auxiliary derrick), and the jib can be configured to work at less-than-maximum length. Electric motors for hoist, trolley and swing functions are accessible from ground level. Cranes can arrive at the jobsite via drop-deck trailer or, if regulations allow, can be towed by installing a transport axle.

The Igo M Self-Erecting cranes are transported ballasted, in a single trailer train, reducing the time for operations and putting the crane into service.

The Igo T is the newest Igo range of Potain self-erecting cranes, the Igo T, offers operators a variable height lattice mast and a jib with impressive load chart capacities.

The luffing jib has three positions: horizontal, 10 degrees, and 20 degrees. The crane has a slewing radius that allows it to be positioned close to buildings/ 

The remote control unit has a large color screen, and Smart Set Up software delivers on-screen, step-by-step information during erection. It also enables automatic folding and unfolding. Three selectable profiles for operators vary the working speed of the crane: “dynamic, ” for quick and easy lifting; “standard, ” for typical lifting applications; and “high precision, ” for precise load positioning.
