The Terex Explorer 5800 is an all-terrain crane with 245 U.S. ton capacity.
It has a 5 part single-cylinder hydraulic telescoping boom, with a maximum length of 229 feet. 5 sheaves integrated into boom head for a max. capacity of 208,200 lb. It comes with two jib extensions, of 37 and 69 feet, making the maximum tip height 296 feet.
The Terex Explorer 5800 is outfitted with a Scania DC13 diesel engine; 405 kW (550 HP) at 1900 rpm, torque 2380 Nm at 1300 rpm. The engine is Tier IV compliant with EUROMOT 4/Tier 4F. Transmission is ZF AS-Tronic; automated gearbox with integrated hydraulic retarder, 12 forward speeds and 2 reverse with a 2-stage transfer case and switchable off-road gear. ...

The Terex EXPLORER 5800 All Terrain Crane is a 245-ton US (220-ton metric) five-axle mobile crane with a 229.7 ft. (70 m) main telescopic boom and a 68.9 ft. (21 m) offsettable jib. This model crane is powered by a single Scania DC13 engine and complies with Euromat 4 / Tier 4F emission standards and was part of the five-axle Terex Explorer series based on Demag All Terrain designs that feature a single-engine concept.
While no longer in production, this model crane is fully supported by a Global Network of Tadano distributors. Tadano acquired the product line of Demag All Terrain and Crawler Cranes from Terex.
