Produced from approximately 2001 to 2004, the 3-axle Liebherr LTM 1055/1 All Terrain is a highly maneuverable mobile crane with a 55-ton (metric) lifting capacity. Purpose-built and designed as a "taxi crane" for its ability to travel on public roads and quickly set up and lift on demanding job sites.

• Maximum height under hook: 184 feet (56 meters) with a two-section swing-away jib
• Main Telescopic boom: A compact five-section boom that extends from 33.4 to 131 feet (10.2 to 40 meters).
• Lattice jib: An optional two-stage swing-away jib extends from 31.1 to 52.4 feet (9.5 to 16 meters)
• Engine: A 6-cylinder, 270 kW (367 hp) turbocharged Liebherr diesel engine that meets EURO III exhaust emission standards.
• Transmission: A ZF AS-TRONIC powershift gear with 12 forward speeds and 1 reverse speed.
• Drive/steering: Available in 6x4x6 and optional 6x6x6 configurations. The all-wheel steering enables crab steering, resulting in a remarkably tight turning radius for its size.

• Telematik telescoping system: A patented, rapid-cycle, internal hydraulic ram system for automated and manual boom telescoping.
• LICCON computer system: Liebherr's crane control system that provides the operator with comprehensive information and monitoring functions. It includes a load moment limiter for safety and an integrated test system for diagnostics.
• Suspension: A hydropneumatic suspension system designed to preserve the crane and roads while providing excellent off-road capability. The system can be automatically leveled with the push of a button.
• Weight-optimized design: The crane's steel structure, including its carrier, superstructure, and telescopic boom, was calculated using the Finite Element Method (F.E.M.) to achieve a weight-optimized and torsionally rigid design.
• Comfortable cabins: The crane features a corrosion-resistant driver's cabin and a crane operator's cabin. The crane cab is tiltable and has ergonomically arranged controls.
