XCMG has successfully launched the XCMG-Cloud on July 15, an unprecedented and highly inclusive industrial cloud platform based on XCMG’s entire data and information systems in the Industry 4.0 revolution.
Eying the enormous potential in cloud computing, XCMG aims to revolutionize the traditional product and market model and transform itself into a platform-based and service oriented company supported by internet technologies. The configurable, multi-lingual, highly concurrent and scalable XCMG-Cloud platform can host users around the world to promote open sharing.
The joint project with AliCloud, the cloud computer service provider of Alibaba Group Holding Limited, was first announced on May 7 and has entered the development phase on May 17. The team achieved success in just two months even there were no prior mature examples to followelsewhere in the world.
As the XCMG-Cloud goes online, participants of the “XCMG Cup” Green Innovation Design Competition will be able to submit their works via the cloud platform. The competition has, by far, attracted 431 contestants globally including US, Germany and Brazil. Also, the technology crowdsourcing project of the small low-noise air-foil fan has already been published on the cloud.

In addition to hosting projects for “XCMG Cup,” all XCMG’s subsidiaries worldwide can publish research subjects on the cloud in the future to carry out discussions, set up projects and implement applications in smart factories. XCMG also welcomes creative minds in the construction machinery industry to form the first innovative cloud “ecosystem,” integrating digital technology and manufacturing that presents new opportunities to the industry worldwide.
