XCMG XCA220 Specifications

Designed and purpose-built for the international lifting crane marketplace, the powerful XCMG XCA220 All-Terrain features a 242.50 USt (220-ton metric ton) maximum lifting capacity mounted on a five-axle specialized chassis for improved maneuverability, a smoother ride on and off-road. 

The wide working range radius of 275' (84 m) and the 354' (108 m) maximum tip height ensure this model crane is suitable for installation work in oilfields, docks, powerplants, bridge construction, and urban areas.  The compact boom tail and single-plate boom head lead to compact the overlapping boom lengths between boom which result in the improved ability of resistance to deformation.

The seven-section 43.9' - 239.5' (13.4  - 73 m) oval profile full-power hydraulic telescopic boom is made of imported high-strength steel and with the lattice jib sections ranging from 39.3' - 118.1' (12 - 36 m) this AT delivers powerful lifting capabilities throughout the load chart range combined the counterweight package of 163, 140 lbs. (74, 000 kg). The H-type outriggers with an energy-saving hydraulic system ensure stability and the dual independent winches enable multiple line pull speeds to safely lift quickly while on the job site. 

The lower crane chassis features the integration of mechatronics and a hydraulic system for precise full-axle crab steering and braking technology contributing to superior ride-ability. The 484 HP(361 kW) Mercedes Benz OM 460.LA.E3B/3 powers this crane to an impressive 52.1 mph (84 km/h) of travel speed with a grade ability of up to 67% to access the toughest of lifting sites and the MB engine delivers intelligent power charts during travel and lifting operations, which economizes the single-engine concept resulting in reduced crane operating cost.

The single-engine concept disperses the overall crane over the five-axle carrier, reducing the overall base crane weight to 121, 030 lbs. (54, 990 kg). 

The lifting controls are user-friendly and easy to operate for certified crane operators.  Intelligent boom technologies are applied to improve operation efficiency, including full-automatic boom extension, elevating compensation, winch rope servo action, and automatic planning of working conditions.

The latest counterweight erection technology with one key is designed, which is carried out through detection and control of slewing angle and oil cylinder state, to improve operational efficiency and reduce labor costs.

An intelligent lighting device that light follows the hook motion is designed to improve visibility during operations at night.

The Energy-Saving fully enclosed hydraulic system combined with the fine control system and variable displacement pump and motor for the winches contribute to improved inching control, smoothness, and reduced energy consumption. A closed volume-speed regulating system consisting of a variable displacement pump and the hydraulic cylinder is used for the elevating system. When lowering the boom, the closed pump controls the load, which effectively absorbs negative power that reduces generating heat, consequently saving energy. The intelligent hydraulic system for the driving fan is adapted to meet the demand of the powerful cooling system.

The fan can be regulated between the max. and min. rotation speed. The cooling power can be adjusted according to working demands, reducing fuel consumption by 5%.

The low-noise air suspension improves the driver's cab comfort and the advanced composite materials in the upper crane superstructure, reduce the weight of coverings by up to 40%.
