Terex Demag Specifications
Terex bought Demag in 2002 and produced Terex-Demag branded All Terrains and Crawlers. In 2016, Terex reintroduced the Demag brand for its larger mobile All-Terrains and crawler cranes above 400 tons.
In 2019, Tadano purchased the Demag mobile crane business for $215 million and Demag became part of the Tadano Group under the name Tadano Demag.
In 2021, Tadano unified the Demag Brand, and all previously branded Demag crane models are now known as Tadano, creating Brand harmonization.
The all-terrain product nomenclature AC product line combined the number of axles, capacity in metric tons, and version number. For example, the seven-axle, 450-ton-capacity Demag AC 450-7 is now the Tadano AC 7.450-1.
For the lattice boom crawler cranes, the formatting is CC + legacy series + lift capacity + version, for example, the 650 ton Demag CC 3800-1 is now the Tadano CC 38.650-1.
