The 3-axle, 40-ton Terex T 340XL telescopic truck crane has a 105' telescopic main boom and is powered by a Cummins ISC 300 (300 hp) engine that is designed for high mobility and versatile lifting performance on construction and industrial sites. The Extra Long (XL) 340 is an extended telescopic boom that reaches 105 feet and handles more demanding jobs requiring greater height and flexibility.

Key Performance Specifications

  • Maximum Lifting Capacity: 40 USt (36 metric tons).
  • Main Boom Length: 105 ft (32 meters).
  • Maximum Tip Height: Approximately 158–159 ft when equipped with an optional lattice jib.
  • Engine Power: Typically powered by a Cummins ISC 300 engine producing 300 hp (224 kW).
  • Travel Speed: Capable of highway speeds up to 60 mph (96 km/h) for rapid site-to-site transitions.

    More Features

  • Precision Control: Equipped with fully proportional electrohydraulic joysticks that allow for exact movement of all hydraulic functions.
  • Synchronized Boom: The four-section boom design is fully synchronized to optimize strength and deliver high lift capacities across the crane chart.
  • Operator Comfort: Features an ergonomically designed, climate-controlled upper cab with heating and air conditioning options to suit various environments.
  • Stability: Utilizes a hydraulic outrigger system that provides a stable base with a relatively small footprint.

Crane History

The Terex T 340XL is no longer in production. However, the model is still widely supported and was rebranded by Load King as the Load King 340-105. It remains a popular choice in the used crane market and for rental fleets due to its reliable performance and ease of transport.
