The 30-ton Lorain LRT 230 is a rough-terrain crane manufactured from 1987 to 1997, known for its versatility and 30-ton capacity and later branded as the Terex RT 230.

Key Specifications and Features

• Lifting Capacity: The original specification had a total lifting capacity of 30 tons Ust. Derated Modified versions, often with counterweights removed for specific applications like rail yards, have been reclassified as 15-ton or 23-ton cranes.
• Boom: The crane is equipped with a telescopic boom.
  • Standard configuration: a 30 to 72-foot-long, three-section full-power self-proportioning boom.
  • Optional configurations: some models featured a 94-foot-long boom with a power-pinned fourth section.
