Liebherr LTM 1400 Specifications

The Liebherr LTM 1400 is the genesis of the versatile and dynamic all-terrain mobile crane with strong lifting capabilities and a long reach. With easy transport, the counterweight assembly takes only a matter of minutes.

This crane has a max. lifting capacity of 400 metric tons (440.9 US tons). The 5-section telescopic boom can move 360° and reaches out to 60 m (196.85 ft), the max. hook height is 130 m (426.5 ft) with a max. the radius of 100 m(328 ft). Many different configurations can be used to meet job requirements.

Powering the LTM 1400−7.1 drive engine is a Liebherr 8-cylinder diesel engine pushing 450 kW. The crane engine is a Liebherr 6-cylinder diesel ending cranking out 240 kW. This mobile crane comes with an automated gear system, a ZF TC TRONIC with converter and retarder; 12 forward and 2 reversed speeds, and automated control. For smooth riding, the suspension has a ​“displacement mode” which can be performed automatically by push-button control from any position. Variable steering is possible, axles 4 – 7 have ​“active rear-axle steering” and 5 steering modes, road displacement steering, all-wheel steering, crab steering, steering without swerving out, and manual crab steering.

Built to take on any project, this crane has 4 winches, a main hoist gear, an auxiliary hoist gear (for 2 hook operation with luffing lattice jib, winch 3 for luffing lattice jib, and a auxiliary winch (for reeving of the hook block and assembly of the lattice luffing jib) Setting the crane up with outriggers is quick, convenient and safe. The level controllers of the outriggers are all-automatic during the support procedure.

The crane operational cab is comfortable and functional, surrounded by glass for enhanced vision. The crane cab can also tilt back by 20 degrees. The lower cab is modern and comes with digital instruments giving the operator full control and accessibility. Integrated into the crane is LICCON system, a safe load indicator, a test system, and hoist limit switch. LICCON allows the operator to move and plan safely with the help of state of the art indicators.
