Grove GMK5250L Specifications
Produced from 2015 to 2020, the Grove GMK5250L all-terrain crane has a maximum lifting capacity of 300 USt (250 m ton) and a seven section maximum boom length of 229.7' (70 m). Add the optional jib and insert combinations of 121' (37.3 m), this model reaches an impressive maximum tip height of 360.9' (110 m).
No longer in production, this model is superseded by the Grove GMK5250L-1 and GMK5250XL-1.
The TWIN-LOCK system ensures that locks will remain when faced with vibrations or shifting loads. The six-cylinder 532 HP Mercedes-Benz OM 47 1LA diesel engine is water-cooled and is Turbocharged. Paired with the Mercedes G 280 16-speed transmission with VIAB, the crane can move around job sites, completing lifts with ease and maximum control.
The VIAB system takes the place of a retarder and turbo coupling. It enables wear-free starting, and reduces fuel consumption by 30% of its predecessor, avoiding overheating. These features keep the crane on-site working, saving money in fuel consumption while being more compact than a separate retarder and turbo coupling unit.
The cab is equipped with the amenities and safety features expected from a Grove GMK AT crane. Aluminum and fiber-reinforced plastic make up the frame of the cab, for a strong and also lightweight operator cab. CraneSTAR sends information to the operator to increase the profitability and efficiency of the crane.
The Manitowoc Crane Group fully supports this model through a global network of authorized Grove Crane distributors.
