Previous known as the Krupp KMK 5175 prior to the Grove Worldwide purchase of Krupp Moblikrane GmbH in 1995, the Grove GMK5175 is a 175-ton Ust (350, 000 lbs.) / 160-ton metric (160, 000 kg) lifting capacity All Terrain mobile crane with a main telescopic boom of 43' - 161' (13 - 49 m) with jib options this AT crane achieves a maximum tip height of 323' (98.4 m) and a working radius of 225' (68.6 m).
The base weight of this 5-axle crane is 133, 230 lbs. (60, 400 kg) and comes with 99, 200 lbs. (45, 000 kg) of total counterweight.
Standard power is a Mercedes OM 336 A (139 HP/103 kW) upper superstructure engine and lower carrier Mercedes OM 442 LA (503 HP/370 kW) coupled with an automatic transmission this model crane achieves a highway speed of 46 mph (74 km/h).
The optional Cummins engines increase the maximum transport speed and are available in certain models available for sale on the used crane market.
