In 2002, Terex acquired Demag Mobile Cranes for approximately $150 M. At the time, Demag Mobile Cranes said that the Demag brand would be kept and the basic product range and business strategy would be unchanged. After 2002, the cranes were marketed as Terex-Demag. In April 2016, Terex Cranes announced the return of its legendary Demag cranes brand at bauma 2016. The new Demag range consists of 11 all terrain cranes, ranging from 100 to 1, 200 tons of capacity and seven market-leading lattice boom crawler cranes, ranging from 400 to 3, 200 tonnes of capacity.
