
Lorain MC 1400 Specifications
Discontinued in 1986, the Lorain MC 1400 Moto-Crane is a 140-ton (127 metric ton) capacity 4 axle 8 x 4 lattice boom truck crane. The lower carrier is powered by 290 HP Cummins NTC-290 diesel or an optional 335 HP GM 6V922A diesel engine. The carrier has a top road speed of 40 mph (64 km) and has a ten speed forward and 3 reverse Eaton RTO-958LL transmission.
The upper crane superstructure is powered by a 210 HP Cummins N-855C-220 or a GM 6-71N engine. Has torque converter and Allision Clutch.
The base boom is 40' and the maximum main boom is 230'. Jib options range from 30'-60'.
The Gross weight of the basic crane is 81, 014 lbs. and the complete weight with mast, derricking, harnees, third drum, P.L.L. rear drum, full counterweight and outriggers ins 172, 491 lbs (78 242 kg).
The maximum counterweight is 51, 000 lbs. and with bumper counterweight is 10, 000 lbs.
