This Altec AC40-103S boom truck crane has a 4-section telescopic, proportional boom 31 ft. to 103 feet, with a maximum sheave height of 112 feet and a maximum lifting capacity of 80, 000 pounds at 5 foot radius. The out and down mainframe and out and down rear outriggers have positioning pins that allow deployment in the half-spread position and the fully retracted position. This allows the machine to have a reduced load chart in tight areas where full outrigger positioning is not possible. The outrigger controls are in the front upper part of the deck, with the up and down controls in the cab.
