Grove TMC540 Specifications

The 40 metric ton lifting capacity Grove TMC540 truck-mounted crane has a four-section, synchronized full-power boom extending to 31 m, with a maximum tip height of 33.6 m. The crane can be equipped with two swing-away extensions. An offsettable fixed swing-away extension of 7.9m increases the maximum tip height to 41.1m and a 7.9m to 13.7m offsettable telescopic swing-away extension increases the maximum tip height to 47m. Both can be offset at 0°, 15° and 30°.

The counterweight is designed into the structure, with the engine and fuel tank adding additional counterweight.  It has been designed for use as a taxi crane and the use of a Scania chassis and two engines, one for the superstructure and one for the carrier, brings down cost savings, including the potential to save 60% on fuel costs.

The TMC540 was originally designed for the European Crane Market, while no longer in production, this truck-mounted crane is still supported by a global network of Authorized Grove Crane Distributors.
