The 90-ton (USt) 80-ton metric capacity Grove RT890E Rough Terrain Crane features an electronically-controlled 275 HP Cummins QSB 6.7L diesel engine, power shift transmission, and MEGAFORM boom to ensure the power and reach for the most demanding lifting job sites.

The Full Vision cab features ergonomic controls to minimize operator fatigue and maximizes productivity.  The five-section full-power boom is 38 ft – 142 ft (11.4 – 43.2 m) and features a quick-reeve boom nose. An optional 33 ft – 56 ft (10 m – 17 m) offsettable bi-fold lattice swing-away jib extension is available, with 16 ft (4.8 m) and 32 ft (9.7) extension inserts for a maximum tip height of 238' (72, 5 m).

The 22, 000 lb (9979 kg) hydraulically installed counterweight is quickly removable reducing transport and set-up time. 

Discontinued in 2016, the first Grove RT890E came off the production line in 2003, making this model one of the most readily available heavy-lift RT cranes for sale on the used crane marketplace and supported by the global network of Manitowoc Group Grove Authorized Crane Dealers.
