The 450 Ust (400 metric ton) lifting capacity Grove GMK6400-1 All Terrain Crane is one of the strongest 6 axle cranes on the market with a self-rigging MegaWingLift, this heavy-duty AT handles jobs that would usually require a seven or eight-axle model.

The single Mercedes Benz engine concept creates a mixture of a conventional drive at the front and a hybrid drive for slow speed creating the following advantages.

• Automatic on/off of MegaDrive: over 25km/h (16 mph) off, less than 20 km/h (12 mph)

• Better traction in bad surface conditions

• Longer lifecycle of parts because of less direct contact

• Smooth and powerful acceleration from standstill

Features an improved hydraulic system with a faster flow to provide quicker operating speeds and even smoother movements over its predecessor, the GMK6400. The implementation of Manitowoc’s CCS ensures that performance is optimized and operation can be boosted to a whole new level. Furthermore, with the addition of MAXbase variable outrigger positioning, capacities on the main boom are increased.

This model features a 51' - 197' (15.4 - 60 m) five-section main boom and 448' (136 m) tip height with boom, jib, and luffing combinations.
