The Sumitomo SC 1000 is a 100-metric-ton (220,500 lb) hydraulic lattice boom crawler crane.  Lifting Capacity: 100 metric tons at a 3.8-meter radius. Boom System: Two-piece lattice construction with a basic length of 18.30m, extendable to a maximum length of 73.15m. Engine: Mitsubishi 6D22T water-cooled, 4-cycle, turbo-charged diesel engine. Sumitomo (HSC Cranes),  based in Japan, is the parent company of Link-Belt, a U.S.-based crane manufacturer of truck cranes, all-terrain cranes, rough-terrain cranes, plus lattice boom and telescopic boom crawler cranes.  Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. acquired the Link-Belt, with its relationship dating back to the 1960s, and later made it a wholly owned subsidiary, ensuring continued investment in the mobile crane business.
