Grove GMK4090-1 Specifications
The Grove GMK4090-1 comes in two versions.
The 1st Generation 82.5-ton lifting capacity is no longer in production and has a 37-142 ft. (11.2-43.2 m) 5-section full power boom, patented TWIN-LOCK™ boom pinning system with a 33-56 ft. (10-17 m) bifold luffing lattice swing-away jib extension that hydraulically offsets to 0˚ - 40˚.
37, 000 lb. (16, 800 kg) total counterweight with hydraulic installation/removal system, a 422 hp (315 kW) Mercedes OM 501 LA 6 cylinder turbo-charged diesel engine coupled with a ZF-Astronic 12 speed forward, 2-speed reverse transmission, all-wheel crab steering, and independent hydropneumatic MEGATRAK™ suspension.
The newest Grove GMK4090-1 is a 100-ton (90-ton metric) all-terrain crane that can access narrow job sites and utilizes a more compact radius to gain a better position for lifting performance providing excellent job site flexibility.
This model GMK4090-1 offers outstanding load charts and is outfitted with a 10.2-ton metric taxi counterweight on a 12 ton/axle with the remaining counterweight fitting on one standard trailer to reach full capacity. The main telescopic boom reaches 167'(51 m) and with the jib extensions, the crane reaches up to 256' (75 m)and has a reduced Gross Vehicle Weight of only 105, 820 lbs (48, 000 kg).
