Discontinued in 1978, the 14-ton USt (12, 700 kg) Grove RT58 down-cab rough terrain crane features a 24'-60' (7.32-18.29 m) 3 section telescopic main boom and an optional 20' stowaway jib. Typically the crane is powered by a Detroit Diesel 127 HP 4-53N Engine, but a Ford 300, GM 4-53N, or a Cummins V-378-C155 can also power the crane. Power Shift Transmission 6 speeds forward and reverse. HI-Lo range selection automatically shifts from 4 Wheel drive to 2-Wheel drive. 360-degree continuous rotation and hydraulic pump disconnect.
The RT58B, RT58C, RT58D, and RT58E models superseded the RT58 until the line was discontinued in 2002.
