In April of 2016 two excavators slipped into the water during a landslide in Norway.  In November the machines were located using an advanced magnetometer scan 250 meters (820 ft) from the shore at a depth of 22 meters (72 ft.).  Below is a video of the rescue operation.  The machines are owned by Bertelsen & Garpestad AS and IMC Diving AS handled the offshore recovery.  The Volvo EC250D was lifted by a Liebherr LTM 1220-5.1 operated by Kranringen and the Cat 329E was lifted by Vest Kran using a Terex-Demag All Terrain Crane.
